Alpstock acquires ALMAT
With the acquisition of ALMAT AG, Alpstock AG is investing in one of Switzerland’s market leaders in the field of emergency power and emergency lighting systems.
Alpstock is acquiring ALMAT, thereby enabling the two owners, Michel Härtli and Bernhard Weber, to successfully implement their succession plan. The existing management team, led by Marcel Mettler and Andreas Eckert, will remain in place; all sites will continue to operate; all employees will be retained; and all customer relationships and processes will continue unchanged.
“With the acquisition of ALMAT, we are expanding our portfolio to include a significant company with an established market position in the field of emergency lighting and emergency power, as well as an experienced team and management. ALMAT fits perfectly with our long-term strategy of building and sustainably developing a portfolio of quality companies characterised by industrial and medium-sized enterprises. We look forward to supporting the company in its long-term development,” say Christoph Egger and Mikael Ramvall, both new members of ALMAT’s Board of Directors.
Michel Härtli adds: “As there is no suitable successor within our families, our aim was to find a knowledgeable and long-term-oriented partner who would uphold our philosophy and values and continue the company’s proven positioning.”
Bernhard Weber adds: “We are delighted to have found a new owner in Alpstock, a company that understands the Swiss construction-related business and is committed to its long-term development. This solution ensures a sustainable future for employees, customers and business partners.”
