Produ-Plast AG and Prewag AG are joining forces

By acquiring Prewag, Produ-Plast expands its expertise in the development and manufacturing of plastic parts using the injection molding process.

Produ-Plast has acquired Prewag retroactively effective as of January 1, 2025. With this step, Prewag’s two owners have successfully implemented their succession plan. In the coming years, the two companies will merge their operations, act jointly, and continuously further develop their business.

The merger creates numerous synergies and, thanks to the combined volume of both companies, enables a more efficient operation across the entire value chain. The two experienced entrepreneurs from Prewag will remain part of the management of the new corporate group and will continue to contribute their expertise and experience in the coming years. The digitized processes of Produ-Plast will be gradually transferred to the new, integrated company. This strategic merger lays the foundation to offer state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions for injection molding and assembly services, while also flexibly adapting logistics to meet customers’ needs.

Guido Guggenberger adds: “My brother and I took over Prewag from our father and have successfully built it up over the past decades. We are pleased to have found a new owner in Produ-Plast and Rino Lacher who will continue the company at our modern Neuhaus site in the medium term.” His brother Roger Guggenberger adds: “We deliberately approached this important decision early as part of our succession planning. We look forward to the coming years, during which we will contribute our experience to building on what we have achieved.”

After the merger, all contacts, agreements, and processes for customers, business partners, and employees will remain unchanged. Thanks to the ongoing growth of both companies, all employees will continue to be employed despite the realization of synergy potential.
