ICFG Spring Conference 2018
At the occasion of the yearly spring conference from April 26 to April 27, 2018 in Paris, ICFG members exchanged views on current cross-border M&A transactions and issues. Ramus & Company was represented at the conference by two senior partners, gaining exciting new insights.
On April 26/27, 2018, the spring conference of the International Corporate Finance Group (ICFG) took place in Paris. The meeting was attended by over 25 participants from ICFG offices in 15 countries to discuss current cross-border M&A issues and ongoing international M&A projects. Numerous thematic and project-related presentations and discussions took place on a wide variety of specialist topics.
The participants from Europe, North America, Asia and South Africa were able to forge new personal contacts as well as exchange and develop ideas for potential transactions. At the conference, the various ICFG members and offices had the opportunity to network even better and foster mutual experience. Andrés Zweig and Hanspeter Diener participated in the ICFG conference for Ramus & Company.
An important part of the conference were also four practice-oriented guest lectures on different M&A topics and projects:
- Peter Schüpbach, Chairman of SwissCommerce (www.swiss-commerce.ch), a leading provider of e-commerce platform for specialized markets, introduced his company’s international acquisition strategy
- Edouard Bridel, founder of “Bank and Clients” (www.bankandclients.com), a family-operated bank in London focused on mezzanine financing, presented the standard approach of his group in acquisition processes
- Richard Marchand, CEO of Chargeurs Protective Speciality Machines (www.chargeurs.fr), part of a major French industrial conglomerate, gave a presentation on current acquisition plans in various countries
- Renaud Dutreil, former Chairman of LVMH USA, introduced the investment strategy of his private equity fund focusing on the luxury goods industry, set up with the Swiss private bank Mirabaud
The successful conference was accompanied by a varied supporting program and closed on Friday with the ICFG General Assembly.
