Successful Sale of Altreda AG

As part of the realignment of an investment holding company, Altreda AG was sold to the Swiss entrepreneur Frank Studerus. Ramus & Company represented the interests of the seller.

 

A Swiss investment holding company has sold its subsidiary Altreda AG («Altreda»), the leading wholesaler of professional radio solutions in Switzerland, as part of a strategic realignment. The buyer is the entrepreneur Frank Studerus, owner of Studerus AG («Studerus») in Schwerzenbach, Switzerland. Altreda will be continued under its new owner as an independent entity under its previous name and will be developed in the long term. In particular, Altreda’s existing employees and the site in Schlieren are to be retained. The current managing director, Dario Lepore, will continue to run the business unchanged, thus ensuring continuity for customers and suppliers.

Altreda, which is based in Schlieren, supplies specialist dealers and wholesalers in the security and communications industry with professional radio equipment in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. As a wholesaler, the company is active in both the import and distribution of radios and corresponding accessories from leading brands. The company has built up long-standing supplier relationships with the three leaders Motorola, Kenwood and Hytera.

Its customers include over 100 active specialist retailers as well as the largest e-commerce providers and electronics stores in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Owing to its many years of successful activity, the company is the clear market leader with a market share of around 70% in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
